The history of Miniature Pinscher originated in Germany. This bred is older than Doberman Pinscher but there is Miniature Pinscher is a cross bred of German Pinscher, Italian Greyhound and Dacshund. In the 1920’s this breed was brought to United States. Pinscher has huge dark expressive eyes which are pleasing to look at. It has a sturdy muscular and even square body. Pinscher puppies are tiny they are not easily noticed wandering about in a room therefore; while they are small they must be trained first in enclosure to avoid harm to the dog and to the owner itself.

Miniature Pinscher training must be of utmost care. If the dog owner is planning to set up their min pin in a crate, the dog should be appropriately introduced to the crate. Dog training gradually starts upon bringing the Miniature Pinscher at home. In crate training a Miniature Pinscher, be sure to furnish the crate with water and a towel. Initiate step by step introduction of the min pin to the crate and slowly increase his time spent in his crate. The crate must be situated in a no association between the two. This dog is a breed from Terriers in Germany used by farmers to track rats in their stables and farms. Pinscher, is a German word meaning Terrier.

To persuade a dog in entering the crate, toss a treat for it so that it will willingly enter. Upon entering, set a few minutes before closing the door and give admire it for doing great by using cheery voice. Before leaving, give it a chewing toy that it can play with while he is inside the crate.

When it start whining or complaining, do not let it out the crate for this will create a bad behavior to the dog. He will think that what he does is right since he was released out of the crate. Instead, wait until he settles down for minutes before releasing him. In doing this, the dog will t hen realize that if he keeps on whining he will gain nothing. But if he keeps quiet and behaves himself, he will be lead out of the crate.


Have a regular schedule in crating the min pin. Adults can be inside a crate for just eight hours while puppies will only last till three hours since they usually pee a lot. If the dog or puppy will be inside the crate for more than the ideal phase of time, the crate should have bedding area and a paper covered area to hold the dog’s waste. If the dog owner thinks that his dog can be left alone, start practicing in leaving the dog out for a little period of time but only to certain areas of home which is not hazardous, especially if there are children.

Crate training a Miniature Pinscher is an efficient way to train a dog. Just be patient if ever the dog doesn’t respond to the training obediently. Trained dog will be if great help once they are fully capable of understanding their owners command. Just see to it that good discipline must be given and make it feel that they are being loved and a part of the family.
